Every substantive correction is recorded here, with the date and what changed.
Why this page exists
This site spends its time pointing out that claims about memory are cited beyond what the research supports. A site doing that cannot quietly fix its own mistakes.
A related workplace concept is employee PC activity tracking, which offers a useful contrast with the personal knowledge-work problem discussed here.
Silently editing an error away removes the reader's ability to judge how reliable a source has been. A visible correction costs a little credibility once; an invisible one costs all of it when found.
What counts as a correction
Logged here: a factual error, a misattributed figure, a study characterised inaccurately, a claim resting on weaker evidence than described, or a recommendation reversed.
Not logged: typographical fixes, clarified wording that does not change meaning, and updates to statements about applications that were accurate at their stated check date.

Replication failures are a special case
The reason this page was planned from the start.
A result cited here may later fail to replicate. That is not our error and it is exactly the kind of change that must appear wherever the figure does — as has already happened to the most-quoted study in this field.
Where cited research is revised or fails replication, the update is added to every article citing it, with the same prominence as the original claim, and noted here.
If we have described your research wrongly
That takes priority over everything else in the queue. This site characterises other people's studies constantly, and getting one wrong is the most damaging error available to it.
Reporting one
Say what is wrong and why. Corrections are the most useful message this site receives.
The log
No corrections have been logged yet. This site is new, and an empty log means only that — not that no errors exist. When one is found it will appear here with the date it was published, the date it was corrected, and what was wrong.
